"SONIC COUNSELOR" (PURPLE)

$35.00

A poster inspired by Clutch’s Sonic Counselor. A song from their 2018 album “Book of Bad Decisions” that pays tribute to Clutch’s die-hard fans, aptly named ‘Gearheads’. Lead singer Neil Fallon had this to say about their fans, “Whether it’s Birmingham, Alabama or Birmingham, UK, there’s a camaraderie that is almost church-like. People sometimes say, ‘You’re like a preacher onstage’, but I think it has more to do with the congregation than the people onstage and treating the show as a special, sanctified event every night.” [Regarding the lyrics to Sonic Counselor…] “It's a tip of the hat to them. We're exceptionally lucky to have the fans we have.”
The poster tries to capture that divine experience of a Clutch show and to pay homage to both the band and the devout fans. Keen observers might pick up on some imagery inspired by the Burning Beard video which was filmed in a church.
